The only electrician that answered my calls and messages the day after Milton hit. Our generator went on and off and petered out on Wednesday night. We called two companies at 2 AM (and online), Generac and Rack Electric. While they took our info, I never got a call back from Generac, and I didn't hear from Rack Electric till Saturday. We also had a service contract for a year from Rack Electric, and they moved the pre-hurricane season appointment 3 times and never showed up once. Compare to Jeff from Excel Electric: I called at 12 PM on Thursday, got an appointment for Friday at noon. Jeff called back at 3 PM Thursday and asked if we had power. I said no, and he was at our house by 3:30 PM and we had power by 5 PM. That is service, and that is caring. We saved a whole fridge full of food and were able to relax that evening.

Recommend Excel for generator service. Prompt, professional, well-trained field tech. Karen in the office & Victor in the field are very good. Excel maintains my 2023 Briggs & Stratton generator that had error codes & stopped exercising. As with other reviews, the visit began by Victor charging a diagnosis fee. He discovered the errors were from a bad part that B&S had recalled and was fully covered for parts & service. Victor reversed my fee before he finished fixing it. B&S paid for it. Victor fixed the problem in 1 visit. Same-day service was terrific.

A Lifesaver Today Jan 12, 2024

Richard just left my house a little bit ago. While he was outside examining some outside lights, he noticed that a tree was hitting a transformer causing sparking and smoke. He notified me and told me to call FPL, and I got flustered explaining and handed him the phone, and he clarified the situation. I then called 911 because of the sparking and got the fire department here. In the meantime, my 17-year-old dog got out and ran off due to the noise. The fire department found her a block away, but she couldn't make the walk all the way home. Richard watched her while I got my car to drive her back. He was a lifesaver today and did above and beyond what he was required to do. I am very glad that my coworker gave me the name of your company, and I will be praising you to anyone who asks for a recommendation for an electrician.
